Agri-food industries face the challenge of implementing the principles of the circular economy in water management.
To redesign production processes in a way that avoids ‘wastewater’ and to consider that all generated liquid flows constitute renewable resources to be harnessed. The goal is to achieve maximum water efficiency by optimising its use, facilitating maximum internal or external recycling of resources and recycling and/or reusing water in the plant itself or in the immediate environment.
This transformation is possible if we adopt a holistic and circular vision of water use and incorporate new treatment technologies.
